      <title>Medical Oncologist, Department of Oncology , Queen’s Health Sciences</title>
      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;img src="https://camo-acom.ca/resources/Pictures/Job-Postings/Image%202024-01-18%20at%203.28_PM.jpg" alt="" title="" border="0" width="180" height="117" align="left" style="margin: 20px;"&gt;The Department of Oncology at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario, Division of Medical Oncology, is accepting applications for a full-time academic Medical Oncologist position to begin July 1, 2026. &amp;nbsp;The successful applicant will join a multidisciplinary cancer program and a team of Medical Oncologists, Hematologists, and Radiation Oncologists at the Cancer Centre of Southeastern Ontario. &amp;nbsp;This position is to fill an existing vacancy within the University.&lt;br&gt;
&lt;br&gt;
Qualified applicants will hold an MD degree (or equivalent), certification in Internal Medicine, with special competency in Medical Oncology/ Hematology (or equivalent). &amp;nbsp;Additional Fellowship training beyond Royal College certification or additional post-graduate degrees would be advantageous. &amp;nbsp;Candidates must be eligible for licensure by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. &amp;nbsp;Preference will be given to those who either hold or are eligible for certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.&lt;br&gt;
&lt;br&gt;

&lt;br&gt;
As an Oncologist at the McMurtry-Baerg Cancer Centre, you will be part of a close-knit team of physicians, clerical staff, nursing staff, pharmacists, social workers, and dietitians. &amp;nbsp;You will be able to easily access the local surgeons, radiologists and pathologists to discuss cases, and will have flexibility with your clinic schedule. &amp;nbsp;As a BC Cancer Medical Oncologist, you will have the support of provincial tumour groups, and provincial and regional tumour board conferences are available for case discussions. &amp;nbsp;You also have the opportunity to support clinical trial enrollment, increasing research and care opportunities. Membership on the faculty of UBC is encouraged; our centre participates in the UBC Southern Medical Program and we encourage second year, third year ICC medical students and Family Practice/Internal Medicine to residents to rotate through on their electives. &amp;nbsp;Vernon is also involved as a site in the CAMO Community Oncology Bursary program.&lt;br&gt;
&lt;br&gt;
Eligible applicants have obtained Fellowship standing with the Royal College of Physicians &amp;amp; Surgeons of Canada in Internal Medicine, or accepted equivalent if International, and have obtained or are working towards a certificate of Special Competence in Medical Oncology or accepted equivalent. &amp;nbsp;Applicants must also be eligible for licensing with the College of Physicians &amp;amp; Surgeons of British Columbia and meet the requirements of credentialing by the Medical Advisory Committee of the BC Cancer. &amp;nbsp;In addition, applicants must be eligible for a clinical appointment in the Division of Medical Oncology in the Department of Medicine at the University of British Columbia and for appointment to the Medical Staff at Vernon Jubilee Hospital.&lt;br&gt;
